Britton Weekly Sentinel
Britton, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma
Saturday, April 2, 1910, front page.

James Reed, an old settler and an honored and highly respected citizen in the community, in which he lived, who has been on the sick list for about two years, was buried in the Britton Cemetery Friday afternoon. A large number of neighbors and friends followed the remains to their last resting place. Mr. Reed lived on his farm west of town. His age was about 70, his wife, three daughters and one son survive him. All were at his bedside. The family have the sympathy of the community.
