Homer Ricketts Services
Homer Alvin Ricketts, age 72, died at his home here Saturday following a short illness. He was a carpenter by trade.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Strode chapel at Stillwater with Rev. A.L. Oliver of the Perkins Methodist Church in charge. Burial was in the Perkins cemetery. Masonic services were conducted by Perkins Lodge Number 92.
Homer Ricketts was born at Irton, Ohio on April 9, 1879, the son of John and Sarah Ricketts. He was married to Anna L. Smith on October 15, 1918 at Gallup, New Mexico. They later moved to Black Rock, Arkansas and in 1921 they moved to Perkins.
Mr. Ricketts was a member of the Perkins Masonic Lodge Number 92 having been a past Master. In 1949 he was presented with a 25 year jewel in recognition of his long membership.
A member of the Methodist Church, he is survived by his wife; one son, John Ricketts of
Albuquerque, New Mexico; two daughters, Emma Ricketts of Oklahoma City and Jo Ann Ricketts, a student at Oklahoma A & M
College.
