Leonard E. Rosson, 82, Edmond, OK, died from pneumonia, April 11, 2000 at Mercy Health Center. He fought a courageous 28-yr. battle with Parkinson's Disease.
He was born July 15, 1917, at Murfreesboro, AR, to E.J. (Earn) and Eunice Worley Rosson. He grew up in Nashville, AR, and always considered it home even though his career took him all over the U.S. He was a superintendent for H.B. Zachary and Brown & Root Construction Companies He was an Army veteran and served in the European Theatre during W.W. II. Mr. Rosson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Hubert Rosson, who died in 1981. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elease Jones Rosson; three daughters, Sue King and husband Chuck of Bossier City, LA, Carolyn Clouse and husband Norm of Edmond, OK, Sandra Bunz and husband Jim of Grand Island, NE; four grandchildren, Kelly Vandiver and husband Brad of Eureka, CA, Greg King and wife Cheryl of Bossier City, LA, Lori Bourquin of Grand Island, NE and Dr. Brent Bunz and wife Tammy of Toledo, OH; seven great grandchildren, Mitchell, Adam and Molly Vandiver, Kory Bourquin, Jacob and Will Bunz, and Adina King. He is also survived by one brother, Eulis Rosson and wife Maxine of Lamesa, TX; three nephews, J.D. Rosson and Ronnie Rosson of Lubbock, TX, David Rosson of CA, one niece, Sherri Parrack of Houston, TX; one aunt, Dora Ward of Dierks, AR; and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 15, in Nashville, AR at Latimer Funeral Chapel with Bro. C. Dwayne Parish officiating. Mr. Rosson was a member of Unity Baptist Church and burial was In the Unity Cemetery in Nashville, AR. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Fredrick Delafield and Central Oklahoma Care at Home.
