SANDERS’ SERVICES SET

A visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today for Tom Sanders, a longtime official and driver at State Fair Speedway. Sanders died Wednesday of cancer at age 53.

Visitation is at Baggerly Funeral Home, 930 S Broadway in Edmond. A celebration of Sanders’ life is also scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. today at Sellers’ Special Events Center at 13700 N Eastern. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Sanders spent almost 20 summers as an assistant or track manager under National Sprint Car Hall of Fame promoters Bud Carson or Lanny Edwards.
