Boren's Father-in-Law Dies at 75

A.H. Shi Jr., 75, father•n-law of Sen. David Boren, died Thursday morning at Oklahoma Memorial Hospital after a lengthy Illness.

Shi, a farmer and rancher, was the father of Molly Shi Boren. He was a lifetime resident of Stratford and attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

:Shi served on the Garvin County Fair Board for 16 years and was an organizing member and secretary treasurer of the Sandy Creek WaterMed Conservation District. He was Master Mason.

He was a member of the Stratford First United Methodist Church.


Shi is survived by his wife, Wanda Winn Shi, Stratford; six daughters, Jane Shi, Stratford; Mary Jo Stucker, Shawnee; Martha Dew, Ada; Molly Shi Boren, Seminole; Judy Connally, Ada; Susan Johnson, Oklahoma City; one son, Dr. A.H. Shi, Seminole; two sisters, Josephine Dunham, Maysville, and Dorothy Robertson, Norman.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Stratford with Pickard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
