Solon Williams Smith, 91, of 1703 Dorchester, died Sunday at
St. Anthony's Hospital following a short illness. Memorial
services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the First Unitarian
Church, directed by Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Funeral Home.
Smith was born in Stockton, Kan., and moved to Oklahoma City in
1916. He was a partner in Smith, Leaming and Swan law firm, a
former director of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, and the
Oklahoma State Symphony Society, a member of Sigma Nu social
fraternity, and a graduate of the University of Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; two daughters, Mrs. Rosemary
Morris, Augusta, Ga., and Mrs. Barbara Allen, Ardmore; and a
sister, Katherine Smith, El Paso, Tex...
