Lois B. Sparks, McLoud, OK, age 77, was born on February 13, 1931, in McLoud, OK. She was the daughter of John & Mattie Belle (Carr) Tison. She passed from this life on February 1, 2009, in McLoud, OK. Lois graduated from Dale High School. She married Gorman C. Sparks, on October 8, 1950, in McLoud, OK. She and her husband were very active in the McLoud Masonic Lodge #126. Lois enjoyed quilting but most important in her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Alton Curtis Sparks.

Survivors include 3 sons & 1 daughter-in-law, David W. Sparks, Wellston, OK, Dennis W. Sparks, Harrah, OK, Douglas W. & Meranda Sparks, Newalla, OK; sister, Lucille Nelson, McLoud, OK; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of McLoud with Rev. Ernest Graham officiating.

Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
