Services will be conducted at 2 p m Saturday from the First
Baptist church for George W. Spencer, 84 year-old pioneer and
Masonic leader, who died Friday at his home, 125 Northwest
Nineteenth street.
Spencer, a city resident since 1889, served in several
administrations as city clerk in Oklahoma City's early
government, and since 1905 had held official positions in the
Masonic organizations here.
Rev. W. R. White will officiate at services at the church, and
services at Fairlawn cemetery will be in charge of Oklahoma City
Lodge No. 36 A. F. and A. M. Burial will be under the direction
of the Street and Draper funeral home.
