Judith Lee Trapnell, age 72 of Nashville died Thursday April 12, 2007.

Mrs. Trapnell grew up in Oklahoma City, OK, the daughter of the late Leroy and Virginia Carr Belt. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Chi Omega.

Mrs. Trapnell was most recently a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Nashville, having previously been a life long member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston Texas. Mrs. Trapnell served Grace Presbyterian in many capacities including that of president of the Women in the Church. She was also actively involved in Community Bible Study as a teacher for many years. Mrs. Trapnell was an avid gardener and tennis player.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Trapnell and two sons, Roger Trapnell of Houston, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Mary Katherine Hardison Trapnell, of Nashville, grandchildren, Kelli and Kristen Trapnell of Houston, Louis, William and Payne Trapnell of Nashville, sister, Janet Dunlevy of Oklahoma City, Okla. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1p.m. Monday at Christ Presbyterian Church, Rev. Roy Carter and Rev. Todd Teller officiating, with interment to follow in Harpeth Hills Funeral Home and Memory Garden. Visitation will be after noon Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, and in light of her love for children, contributions may be made to a memorial fund for Judy dedicated to the Children’s Ministry at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2323 Old Hickory Blvd. Nashville, TN 37215. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. www.woodfinchapel.com
