Herbert L. Valentine, 87 passed away on August 15, 2002 in Oklahoma City. He - was born on July 28, 1915 in Marlow, Oklahoma to William & Pearl Valentine. Herb was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma. He was the owner of Modern Office Supply. Herb was active as a coach and sponsor of amateur baseball in Oklahoma 8 City for many years. He - served in the Army Air Corps-during WWII. He was a member of Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church for 50 years.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents, William & Pearl; brothers, Doyle & Glen; sisters, Jessie Burnett & Babe Thomas.

He is survived by his wife Mary, who were happily married for 59 years; son, Michael; daughters, Marilyn Golden & Toni Dickerson; six grandchildren, Rob, Jill, Joanna, Robert, Teresa & Dale; 4 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2002 at 2:00 pm at Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. 8701 NW Expressway.
