Died On Way Home
John Walker, a negro who claimed to be a resident of Oklahoma City, died
on Friday at Tecumseh, Neb. He arrived there three days before and was sick.
He had been in the northwest and was working his way south, tramping it, and
when he reached that city he was too ill to go further. He threw himself on
the mercies of the officers, who provided him with medical care and nursing.
Walker was suffering with pneumonia. He grew worse until yesterday forenoon,
when he expired.
His age was 26 years. His relatives have been notified.
