John Waters Rites Arranged

Services for John Nelson Waters, 82-year-old Stillwater resident who died Sunday, will be held Wednesday at 1 pm in the Fairlawn cemetery under the direction of Rev. Joe Carrier. Strode Funeral Home will direct burial.

Waters was born in Kansas in 1868, the son of Alonzo and Rachael Waters. He moved to Payne county with his parents north of Marena and has lived in the county since.

A member of the Methodist church, Waters was a retired farmer.

Survivors include the following nieces and nephews: R.H. Waters of Route 3, Pawnee, Oklahoma; L.H. Waters of Skedee; T.F. Waters of Topeka, Kansas; Mrs. Rachel Henery and Mrs. Scott of Grandfield, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Ed Hutson of Hatfield, Arkansas.
