FUNERAL FOR WEICKER SET
City Transfer Man Died Of Brain Infection.
Services for Robert A. Weicker, 41 years old,
secretary-treasurer the Weicker OK Transfer and Storage Co., and
former city councilman, will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday
afternoon from the Street and Drape chapel by Rev. S. M. Gibson,
pastor of First Presbyterian church. Burial will be in
Fairlawn cemetery.
Weicker, who was stricken with a brain infection Sunday night at
his home, 822 East Twenty-first street, died early Tuesday in
St. Anthony's hospital. He had been in good health previously.
He was a member of First Presbyterian church, Siloam lodge No.
76, A. F. and A. M. and a Shriner. He is survived by his wife,
Mrs. Faye Weicker; one son, Robert A. Weicker Jr., 4 years old;
his father an sister, both of 2201 West Seventeenth street, and
an uncle, R. B. Weicker, Denver.
After hastily transacting emergency business the city council
adjourned Tuesday afternoon out of respect to Weicker. Regular
session of the council will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30
o'clock.
Mayor Blinn said the city hall would be closed during the
Weicker
funeral service.

Former Councilman To Be Buried Today. Motorcycle police
escort of eight officers will lead the cortege for the funeral
of Robert A. Welcker. 41 years old, to be held at 2 o'clock
Thursday afternoon from the First Presbyterian church by Rev. S.
M. Gibson. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery. Bearers for the
services will be R. J. Clements, W. F, Tygard. E. S. Clark,
George Emerick. Ford H. Hotz. George E. Williams, A. H. Richarz,
and Ben F. Wood. Services will be in charge of Street and Draper
funeral home.
Weicker, secretary-treasurer of the Weicker OK Transfer and
Storage Co. and former city councilman died Tuesday of a brain
infection. The city hall will he closed during the services
Thursday. Offices of the Commercial Warehouse Co. will be closed
from 1:30 to 3:30 o'clock Thursday and the Weicker offices will
be closed from I to 4 o'clock.
