WELTZHEIMER, GARY G. 21 January 1942 - 18 April 1999
Gary Glenn Weltzheimer, 57, of Sonora, died Sunday, April 18, at Memorial
Medical Center, Modesto, California.
Mr. Weltzheimer was a native of OKLAHOMA CITY. He lived in Sonora 22 years.
He retired this year after a 22-year career with the Tuolumne Utilities
District; he was a communications technician for 12 years and an engineer for 10
years. He started with the district as a soils testing engineer; a major project
he worked on was the regional wastewater outfall system in Stent. Later he
became the telemetry computer systems engineer. He continued to help on a
part-time basis after his retirement. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving
from 1960 to 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Weltzheimer of Sonora; children, Cindy Hewitt
of Tuolumne City and Debbie Hagins of Sonora; mother, Liz Noe of MIDWEST CITY,
OKLAHOMA; brother, Gerald Weltzheimer of CLINTON, OKLAHOMA; and four
grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted on Thursday, April 22 at the Seventh-Day
Adventist Church, with burial following at Mountain Shadow Cemetery.
