Mrs. Lemuel Gray Whetstone Dies at Home;
Rites Saturday
Mrs. Lemuel Gray Whetstone, 77, died Thursday afternoon in
the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. K. Morell, 939 NE 17. Services
will be conducted at 2pm Saturday in the Hahn funeral chapel.
Burial will be in Rose Hill.
Mrs. Whetstone, who was the wife of the late T. A.
Whitestone, moved here from Henrietta, Texas, with her husband
in 1892.
She has been a member of St. Luke's Methodist church for more
than 50 years, and was a charter member of chapter 1181, United
Daughters of the Confederacy.
In addition to Mrs. Morell, she is survived by two other
daughters, Mrs. Harvey P. Everest, 63 and Lincoln, and
Mrs. Van R. Wiggins, 711 W. Hill; and three Sons, R. P.
Whetstone, 3128 NW 20; Baird H. Whetstone, 3117 Drexel court and
T. A. Whetstone, of Greenwich, Conn. A newphew, Harmon
Pickren, Britton and 10 grandchildren.
