Retired Farmer Dies in Choctaw
James Woods, 80, retired farmer of Choctaw, died at his home Monday of pneumonia
after a brief illness. Services will be announced later by
the Garrison funeral home.
Born in Texas in 1875, Woods came to McLoud in 1901. He
farmed near there 46 years, retiring seven years ago when he
moved to Choctaw. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist
church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; one daughter,
Mrs. Lou Ellen Conner, Harrah; and four sons, Joe, Spencer;
Alfia, Harrah' Barry, Meeker and Tommy, Whittier, Calif.; and
four grandchildren.
