Wright, Wesley Gene, died Sunday, May 28, 1989 in a river
floating accident in Tahlequah. Wesley was born on December 31,
1977 in Midwest City. He resided in Choctaw. He attended Our
Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Nicoma Park. He attended
Indian Meridian Elementary K-3, and James Griffith Intermediate
4th and 5th grades. He had just completed 5th grade as an honor
roll student. He was involved in the Search program for gifted
children. He participated in all sports including soccer-2
seasons, football-3 years, baseball-5 years, holding the highest
batting average and most home runs last season. He also played
basketball 2 years. He was lead guitar player in his band
""The Fabulous Cruisers.''
Survived by his parents, Lonnie
and Rita Wright, a sister, Rachel Wright, all of the home,
grandparents are Mary Jackson, Nicoma Park, Wilma Wright,
Choctaw, great grandmothers, Minnie
Wright, Nicoma Park and
Bessie Goodnight of Perry, uncles and aunts are Jim and Jan
Meyers, Dee Jackson, Lisa Jackson, and Mark Wright. His memory
will live in the hearts of his family and many friends forever.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 1989 at St. Philip
Neri Catholic Church with burial in Arlington
Cemetery.
