April 16, 1904Death of An Old Citizen
Mr. George Young, probably the oldest man in Oklahoma City,
and one of the early residents, passed away yesterday morning at
2:30 o'clock being in his 89th year. Generally he has been
rugged for one of his years, but for some weeks he has been
poorly, having had the grip, with other minor ailments.
Apparently he was on the way to recovery. 'when there developed
an aliment of the ear which, as it is supposed, broke inwardly
on the brain, causing speedy death.
The funeral will take•place from the•Presbyterian church; Sixth
and Broadway, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
Complied and transcribed by Marti Graham, 2009.
