Bernard Lyle Arnold, 86, of Midwest City, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010. He was born March 22, 1923 in Manchester, OK to Andrew Jackson Arnold and Clara Shaffer Arnold . Bernard grew up in Ringwood. He loved horses, especially his favorite horse "Dan." He served in the United States Army during World War II and later joined the Air Force Reserves. Bernard retired from Tinker Air Force Base as an Aircraft Mechanic. He participated in Senior Citizens activities in Harrah and Nicoma Park. He enjoyed his family, friends, fishing, playing cards, dominoes, and traveling.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Lyla and husband, Dale Miller; Lynda and husband, Thomas Bryant; and Barbara Medina; 3 sons: Lyle and wife, Barbara; Jack and wife, Kathy; and Danny Arnold ; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; 6 sisters; 1 brother; and son, Jeff Wayne Arnold.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.

Barbara June Arnold, age 56, passed away Feb. 28, 1987. She was a homemaker. Services Tuesday, 2:00pm at Sunnylane United Methodist Church, interment in Sunnylane Cemetery. She was a member of the Choctaw United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bernard of the home; 7 children, Lyla Hancock, Lyle Arnold, Lynda Whiteley, Jack Arnold, Dan Arnold, Jeff Arnold , Barbara Ann Arnold; parents, M.G. and Maud Childers; 2 brothers, G.T. Childers and R.O. Childers; 3 sisters, Myrtie Jones, Maud Lee Myers, Marion Bengston; 9 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
