A 7-year-old Oklahoma girl was laid to rest Wednesday
afternoon. Friends and family gathered to say their final
goodbyes to Aja Johnson.
Aja Danielle, age 7, of OKC, was suddenly taken from
this earthly life and though we will miss her and
our hearts are broken, we take peace in knowing that
she is resting in the arms of Jesus and has been
reunited with her mother. Aja was born Jan. 5, 2003
in OKC to John James “JJ” Johnson and Tonya Duncan.
“Punky” as her father lovingly called her, was a
shining light in her first grade class at Parmalee
Elementary School in OKC. She had many friends and
dreamed of being a cheerleader.
Memories of Aja will be forever cherished by her
father, JJ Johnson; stepmother, Terri Johnson;
brother, Torrence; sisters, Koressa, Shawna, Holly
and Betsy; numerous aunts and uncles, other extended
family members and countless friends.
Services, Colonial Chapel South, Pastor John
Steiger.
Interment
Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.
Complied and transcribed by Marti Graham, 2009.
