E. Nowotny was born March 6, 1923 as Katharin Elizabeth
Brakefield. She left us on her 87th birthday March 6, 2010. She
was born in Spencer, OK and spent most of her life in Oklahoma.
She loved her large family, even in her childhood, and it was
the most important aspect of her life. In the 50's, she trained
to be a nurse and worked as one until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her loving
husband of 61 years, Lloyd C. Nowotny; her parents, Earl and
Alice Brakefield; and a brother,
Luther Brakefield.
She is survived by two daughters, Ginger
Pollock and Tracie Nowotny; and one son, David Nowotny; five
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and an extended family of
nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was an avid fisherman, and
lived her last years near Lake Tenkiller, enjoying the quiet
area and fishing.
Services will be directed by Bill
Eisenhour N.E. Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at
2:00 pm, at Nicoma Park First Baptist Church, with interment to
follow at Arlington
Memory Gardens.
