Moses Trumbly, 90, of Olie and 64, died Wednesday morning in Capitol win General hospital after a five-day illness.

A native of Benton Harbor. Mich., 'Trumbly made two entries into Oklahoma before he finally settled here. He was a member of the first party To come in with Capt. David Payne prior to the opening. He returned to Kansas and came back to make a claim at Deer Creek in the run of '89.

 He was married to Amanda Elizabeth Dewey in Calhoun County, Iowa on April 23, 1884. They lived at Deer Creek until shortly before World War I when they moved to Oklahoma City. Trumbly retained his farming interest at Deer Creek but engaged in real estate after coming here.

He was an active worker in behalf of the state's old age pension legislation. He was a member of the V.I.A., the Woodmen of the World and Pentecostal Holiness church.

Trumbly is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amanda Trumbly, six sons, Fred of Criswell. Ore., Egbert, Clifford, Vernon, Roy and Earl Trumbly, all of the city: one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Tharp of the home address. He has 27 grandchildren. Five of his grandsons are now overseas, and three others are in the armed forces in this country.

Services will he held at 2 pm Friday in the Perrine funeral home with burial in Rose Hill.
