March 25, 2008E.V. Harwell, 87, passed
away Saturday, March 22, 2008, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He
was born October 27, 1920 in Scott Hill, TN to Rufus and Delia
(Gilbert) Harwell. He was united in marriage on June 2, 1958 in
Norman, OK to Dora Bowman.
E.V.
was employed with the U.S. Naval Ammunition Depot in McAlester
during WWII and then with Tinker AFB for 33 years in the Quality
Inspection Branch, retiring in 1978. He attended South Walker
Church of Christ and was a 32nd degree Mason since 1945. E.V.
loved baseball and spending time with his family at Lake
Eufaula. He never had an idle moment that was not spent working
on some project, welding or tinkering around the house. He
enjoyed cars and was proud of the 57 cars he had owned in his
lifetime. He will be missed by all that he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Dora of the home; daughter,
Carolyne Teeter and husband Arden
of Norman; sons, Steve Harwell and wife Diana of OKC and Tom
Russell and wife Audrey of Moore; and three grandchildren, Mark
Teeter , Chase Harwell and Kimberly Harwell. He is preceded in
death by his parents; his first wife, Billie Katherine in 1955;
his daughter, Linda Lou; three brothers; five sisters; and one
granddaughter. Memorials may be made to the South Walker Church
of Christ Missions, 5217 S. Walker, OKC, OK 73109. Funeral
services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 26, 2008, in
the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, with interment following in
Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Dora
L. (Bowman) Harwell was born March 1, 1926 to Thomas
Earl and Hattie (Whitaker) Bowman. She passed away
May 2, 2009 at the age of 83. Dora married E.V.
Harwell June 2, 1958.
She retired from Tinker AFB in 1982 with 34 years of
service.
She was a member of the South Walker Church of
Christ. She was a devoted and loving wife and
mother. Dora faced many health issues before and
after her stroke, but she never complained. Mom
lived a life of dignity and grace. She loved gospel
and country music, sports, but most of all time
spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband
E.V. of 49 years; her beloved granddaughter, Amy
Russell; sister, Mae Hollis and brother, Thomas
Bowman. She is survived by sons, Tom Russell and
wife Audrey, Steve Harwell and wife Diana; daughter,
Carolyne Teeter and husband Arden; three
grandchildren: Mark Teeter , Chase Harwell, Kim
Steele; and one great grandchild, Jillian Harwell.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday,
May 6, 2009 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel,
with interment following in
Resthaven Memory Gardens.
