old, who has been in the grocery and mercantile business in Oklahoma
county for the last 30 years, died Friday morning in his home, 114
Northeast Second street.
Abel, an 89er, came to Oklahoma county from
Easton, Kan., and moved to Oklahoma City in 1916. He was operating a
grocery store at the home address at the time of his death. He also had
been in the real estate business.
Survivors include three sons, Arthur W. Abel,
Tulsa; Robert L. Abel, 1509 Northwest Eleventh street and Charles E.
Abel of the home; one daughter, Mrs. J. L. Beveridge, 740 Northeast
Twenty-ninth street; two sisters and a brother, all of Leavenworth,
Kan., and four grandchildren.
