The funeral service for Opal M. Broadstone, 88, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Terry Chick will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Opal was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Carrier, Okla., to Arthur and Ella Hoeltzel Teske
and died Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Tulsa, Okla. She graduated from Enid
High School in 1940. On June 6, 1948, she married Glenn Ford Broadstone.
He preceded her in death. Opal worked at Tinker Air Force Base, at the
House of Hollywood Cosmetics, sold Avon and worked for American Fidelity
Assurance Company. Her activities included participating in Trowell and Trellis Garden Club, Oasis Adult Day Care and she was a Cub Scout den mother.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Ford Broadstone ; two grandchildren; and her sister, Maxine Wichert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; one son,
Carlus Broadstone ; and her brother, Frank Teske.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, heart division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Glenn Broadstone, 78, born May 10, 1915 in Cherokee, Ok., died March 6,
1994 in OKC, Ok. Glenn, along with his wife, Ginger, was the former
owner of the Regal Cleaners. After serving as an Electronics Mate in the
U.S. Navy during WWII, Glenn became very interested in all kinds of
electronic work.
He is survived by his wife, Opal "Ginger" Broadstone of
the home; sons, Glenn E. Broadstone of McLoud, Carlus Reed Broadstone of
OKC and Timothy Ford Broadstone of Calera, Ok.; six grandchildren and
other great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family requests that
memorials may be made to Home Care Options, 1200 N. Walker, Suite 501,
OKC, Ok. 73103.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the South
Colonial Chapel with committal 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park
Cemetery, Enid, Ok.
