William J. "Bill" Curtiss, age 72, of Midwest City, was born August 18, 1927 at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas to Philip M. & Edith (Barnes) Curtiss . He passed away Wednesday, September 29, 1999. Mr. Curtiss served as a Gunners Mate 1st Class in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed as a sheet metal worker in B-52's at Tinker Air Force Base, where he retired in 1989. He was also a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He married Mary Hinojosa in June of 1959 in Texas and then moved to Oklahoma in December of 1959. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Curtiss ; two sons: Roy A. Curtiss , and Jack W. Curtiss ; and two daughters: Lynna Beckner, and Sheryl Bray; and a sister: Connie Peterson. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many good neighbors and friends. A Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2,1999, with burial following in Kolb Cemetery

Mary Frances Curtiss , born Oct. 28, 1939 in Greenville, TX went to be with Our Lord on Oct. 10, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. A graduate of Greenville High School, she attended St. Phillips Neri Catholic Church and worked at Chromealloy in Midwest City, OK for several years. She was a loving housewife and mother. Preceded in death by her husband, William J. (Bill) Curtiss , Mary is survived by her sons, Roy Allen Curtiss of MWC and Jack William Curtis & wife, Lisa of Harrah, OK and other loving relatives and friends. Her enduring love and caring nature was an inspiration and hope to all. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A Prayer Vigil will be held 7:00 pm Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 at St. Phillips Neri Catholic Church and the Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at St. Phillips Neri Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society
