Wednesday, August 19, 2009 Wilma Waneta Manka
MINNEOLA - Wilma Waneta Wills Manka died Aug. 17, 2009. She was born
June 19, 1909, in Kinsley, Kan.
Preceded in death by her husband, EllisManka , her parents, Dell and
Beatrice Wing Wills, and brother, Waldo Wills.
Survived by son, Carl (Marilyn) of Brentwood, Tenn.; grandchildren,
Aaron (Margie) Manka , Kirsta (Bo) Oglesby, Jason Manka and Cara Manka ;
and great-grandchildren, Kade, Alden, Anna and Miranda.
Mrs. Manka was born and raised in Kansas, where she taught school for 28
years. She was a member of Minneola United Methodist Church and the
Civic Club.
The family would like to thank all of her friends for the many cards,
notes and well wishes sent to Wilma on the celebration of her 100th
birthday. She very much enjoyed reading each of them and was touched by
your thoughtfulness.
Visitation Thursday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Minnis Funeral Home in
Minneola. Service on Friday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. at Minneola United
Methodist Church, with burial in Plains, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Minneola UMC or Youthville,
Kansas. Minnis Funeral Home, Box 459, 123 S. Main, Minneola, (620)
