September 7, 1998 p 21Jack D. Snell, 80, of Midwest City. On
Saturday, his Lord called and he passed from this life into the arms of
his Savior. Jack was born April 30, 1918 to Daniel Mason Snell and
Elizabeth Clara Hussfeldt in Tuttle, Oklahoma, and was 1 of 9 children.
He attended Tuttle Schools and graduated in 1936. He attended the
University of Oklahoma. He was a World War II veteran serving in 5 major
conflicts in the European Theater from 1942 to 1945. He was retired
after 26 years as a Civilian Policeman at Tinker. He touched the lives
of everyone he met by example and selflessness. He loved and was devoted
to his family. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and he dearly loved his
hunting dogs. He was a member of the First Christian Church of MWC.
Survived by his devoted and loving wife of 52 years, Dorothy; 3
daughters, Diane Robertson and husband Herbert, Baton Rouge, LA, Debbie
Blackstock and husband
Mickey , MWC, and Peggy Mitchell and husband Jon, MWC; 3 grandsons,
Ashley Windsor, Hattiesburg, MS, Jeremy
Blackstock and wife Dana, Del City, and Jared Robertson, Baton
Rouge, LA; 3 granddaughters, Shelley Windsor, Baton Rouge, LA, Amy
Blackstock , MWC, and Mindy Mitchell, MWC; 1 great-grandson, Hunter
Blackstock , Del City; 1 sister, Delores "Midget" Horne, Tuscon, AZ; 8
loving nieces and 3 devoted nephews. Special thanks go to the many
doctors and nurses at Midwest Regional Medical Hospital and to the
loving care of his home health care nurses.
Services will be Tuesday, September 8th at 10:00 a.m., Bill Eisenhour
Southeast, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, Oklahoma.
