Brian Anthony Barron left to be with his Lord and loved ones October 1, 2007. Brian was born April 24, 1973 in Springdale, Arkansas. His family moved to Oklahoma where Brian graduated Valedictorian from McLoud High School in 1991. He attended the University of Oklahoma, obtaining a Mechanical Engineering degree and participating in student government and other student activities. Brian thoroughly enjoyed his challenging career in Engineering, working at Delta Faucet, General Motors and York International. Brian had a zest for enjoying life. Brian was deliberate and dedicated in everything he did. He was passionate about many outdoor activities, but especially enjoyed mountain bike riding, hiking, camping, water sports and spending time with friends and family on travel excursions and outings. He was an avid OU fan, and particularly fond of OU football with perennial season tickets and autographs of his favorite players over the years. His favorite pastime, however, was always to be with his family and many friends. Brian was a special person, not only to his family, but to all those who know him and the great joy and strengths he shared with all those who were part of his life. Brian was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend to many; a ray of sunshine in the lives of many. Sadly, Brian was diagnosed five years ago with cancer, but in true Brian spirit, he never complained or even asked "Why me". He just faced it head on. Unfortunately, he lost his battle on Monday October 1, 2007. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather. Brian is survived by his parents, Tom and Jolene Barron of Harrah, Oklahoma; two brothers, Craig Barron and wife Kristal; daughters, Skyler and Morgan of Harrah, Todd Barron and wife Jessica of McLoud, Oklahoma; his maternal grandmother, Minnie Burrell of Lowell, Arkansas; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives, and friends. However, as is the case with all loved ones, they are never really gone as long as someone thinks of them. Brian will live forever in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.

Visitation for Brian will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, from 9am-8pm with the family present to greet friends from 6pm-8pm. Services will be held on October 4, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Hibbs Funeral Home in Choctaw , Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah, Okla.
