OKLAHOMA CITY —

Kelly Glenn Carter, 51, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at his home in Oklahoma City.
Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, at Walker Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Guinn officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.

Kelly Glenn Carter was born Sept. 8, 1960, to Dorothy and Cecil Carter in Oklahoma City. He attended Dale High School and Wanette High School, where he graduated in 1979. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army of 15 years.

He was the former owner of Big Joe’s gas station and convenience store in Mid-West City, and currently employed at Tinker Air Force Base.
He is survived by his wife, Chong; children, Melissa and James of Norman; his mother, Dorothy Carter Nicholas Flowers of Shawnee; his sister, Cecey Plunkett and her husband, Gene, of Dale; brother, Ron Carter of Shawnee; brother, TL and his wife, Alice, of Ada; brother, David and his wife, Cindy, of Dale; brother, Richard and his wife, Kathleen, of Shawnee; brother, Dean and his wife, Kristy, of Bethel; sister, Carole of Norman; sister, Kay Conaway and her husband, Mike, of Jefferson, Texas; sister, Mary Lou of Meeker; and countless nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.

Preceding him in death is his father, Cecil Carter, and brothers, Kenneth, Ricky, and Scott.
