Scott Ivens Sr. Dies at Age 77; Rites
Saturday
Scott Winfield lvens Sr., 77, of 608 NE 13, died Thursday in
Wesley Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in
Christ Methodist Church. Burial will be in
Memorial
Park Cemetery.
Born at Erin Springs, Ivens came to
Oklahoma City in 1939. He was employed with South-land
Cotton Oil Company 52 years, building a number of gins over
the state. He worked as superintendent of machinery for the
25 gins and oil mills owned by Southland until retirement in
1952.
He was a member of Christ Methodist
Church and a Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Madge, of the
home; a daughter, ’ Mrs. Henry D. Friend, 305 NE 25; a son,
Scott W. Jr., 6225 Smith Blvd.; three sisters, Mrs. Ida
Burch, 1114 NW 55; Mrs. Anne Warden, Claremore, and Mrs.
Winne Fisk, Tulsa, and two brothers, George, Fort Worth, and
Dick, Waco, Texas.
Friends may visit Garrison Funeral Home
until noon Saturday. |
