Dorotha ( Dorothy ) Pauline Merryman left her earthly home to walk with
the Lord on March 18, 2010. Dorotha was born in Seminole, OK February
18, 1930, to Joseph and Iva Aaron. She grew up in a large family of six
brothers and two sisters. Dorotha spent most of her childhood growing up
in Wilburton, OK, where she met the love of her life, Joie (Buck)
Merryman. They were married on July 31, 1946, in Las Cruces, New Mexico,
and were married for 56 years. Their lives were blessed with four
children: William (Ike) and wife, Judy, of Choctaw, OK; son, Walter
(Mike), and wife, Charlotte, of Choctaw, OK; James Patrick (Pat); and
daughter, Joyce (Jo) Richardson , and husband, Mike, of Moore, OK; eight
grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and
nephews she loved very much. Dorotha loved being a homemaker, she was a
loving wife and mother and spent her time putting everyone else's needs
before her own. She was devoted to her family and was so proud of her
grandchildren. She was a good friend to all who knew her. During
Dorotha's retirement years, she and Buck were very active at the senior
citizens dances, where she loved to dance and socialize with friends.
They took daily walks and always enjoyed visits and calls from their
family and friends.
Dorotha is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her
youngest son, James Patrick (Pat). A special thank you to Autumn Bridge
Hospice for all your loving care and support. Services for Dorotha will
be at 1:00 pm Monday, March 22, 2010, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home
Chapel in Midwest City, OK, with interment to follow at
Jones IOOF
Cemetery in Jones, OK.

Joie William ( Buck ) Merryman left his earthly home to walk with his
Lord on Wednesday, July 31, 2002. Buck , as he was known to many was
born November 22, 1918 in Albion, Oklahoma to Joseph Edward and Mattie
Merryman . Raised by his father and grandfather, Buck traveled and saw
parts of the world through out his young life and military service. Buck
served his country in World War II, the Occupation Forces in Japan and
Korea. He retired after 32 years of service with the Fleming Company in
Oklahoma City. Buck met and married the love of his life, Dorotha Aaron,
on July 31, 1946, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Their lives were blessed
with four children.
Surviving Buck is his loving wife of 56 years, Dorotha; sons, William
(Ike) and wife Judy of Choctaw, OK, Michael (Mike) and wife Charlotte,
of Newalla, OK; daughter, Joyce (Jo) Richardson and husband Mike of
Moore, OK; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two
half-sisters and one half-brother of Missouri.
Buck is preceded in death by his parents and his youngest son James
Patrick (Pat). Services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Paylor
Funeral Home Chapel. Interment following at Jones IOOF Cemetery. Paylor
