Betty Jo Mushrush was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on October 17, 1933 and departed this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the age of 75 years.
Betty was the daughter of George Benton and Mabel (Lemon) Jacob. Betty was a resident of Stroud since 1954. She married Kenneth Mushrush in Perkins, Oklahoma on August 2, 1953. Betty and Kenneth owned and operated Mushrush Vending & Stroud Mini Storage. Betty was a member of the First Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers. Survivors include, Husband, Kenneth of the home Two Daughters & Son in Laws, Susan and Craig Koontz of Houston, TX, Marilyn and Kim Wheeler of Stroud, OK One Sister, Carrie Shirley of Stillwater, OK, One Sister in law,Kitty Jacob of Stillwater, OK, Six Grandchildren, Vick Wheeler & wife Helen of McAlester, OK, Morgan & Chris Bilyeu of Owasso, OK, Taylor Wheeler & Fiancé Lauren of Stillwater, OK, Logan Koontz, Caroline Koontz, and Grant Koontz all of Houston, TX, One Great Grandchild, Ames Jacob Wheeler of McAlester, OK.
Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 26, 2009 with Rev. Paul Ragle officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
