Candice Marie (Smith) Woods June 25, 1949  ~ July 13, 2009 Midwest City, OK

Candice Marie Woods of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009, at Midwest Regional Hospital at the age of 60 years. She was born in Portland, Maine, June 25, 1949 to Edgar Carl and Linda Mae (Guthrie) Smith. She served her country in the U.S. Navy. Candice had worked at a number of nursing homes throughout Oklahoma and Missouri and at Midwest Regional Hospital as a nurse. She was a avid biker and loved her dog, Sadie Jo Woods.

Her parents preceded her in death.

The survivors include her husband, Carl E. of the home; three daughters: Tammy Ash and husband, James, of Midwest City, OK; Kristie Childers and husband, George, of Little Axe, OK; and Chelsey Lamb of Newalla, OK; 4 grandchildren: Drew Ash and wife Tina, Ean Ash, Abigail Childers, and Ashlin Lamb; 1 sister, Callie and husband Vernon Godwin of Choctaw, OK; 1 niece, Amber D. Jack; and 1 nephew, William E.H. Godwin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2009, with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Garden.
