Gladys (Wells) Bouska
Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother left us on May 1, 2006 to "go home"
to be with her Lord. Gladys was affectionately known as "Baby" by her husband;
"Gran" by her grandchildren; and in recent months, "Sunshine" by those caring
for her. Gladys was born January 19, 1921 in Whitney, TX. Her parents then moved
to Cordell, OK where she and her 11 brothers and sisters grew up on a farm. She
was always a hard worker and began her successful career in real estate in 1960
and continued for 35 years. She received many accolades and awards for her
achievements. Providing for her family was most important but she always found
time to work in her garden. She was a charter member of the Redbud Gardens Club
for 57 years, together with many cherished friends. They were responsible for
planting 500 Redbud trees in Midwest City. Gladys was a member of First Baptist
Church in Midwest City.
She married her sweetheart, Don Bouska
in 1987 and they resided in Oklahoma City for many years until 1999 when the
tornado took their home. Gladys lived her last years with Don in N.W. OKC. She
most enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Don, 2 sons, 1 daughter: Richard Wells and wife
Donna, Reggie Wells and wife Vicki, and Beverly Young and husband Jim. She is
also survived by 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a stepson, Brendon and
wife Karen, and their 2 children; her sister, Vida Prather; and her brother,
Presley Jones. We love and miss you - We've really lost our "best friend".
