M. S.Farha, 72 Grocer,
Dies; Rites Monday

Services will be at 2 pm Monday at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox church for former Oklahoma City merchant and pioneer state homesteader.

Burial at Fairlawn Cemetery will be under the direction of Street & Draper funeral home.

Farha died Friday at his home 2133 NW 25 after suffering a heart attack three days ago. He had been ill more than a year.

He had once owned and operated a grocery here and until retiring nine months ago, he had a shoe store at 1305 S Agnew.

Born in Lebanon, he came to the  United States at 16 and opened a small fruit stand in Wichita, Kan. Seven years later he homesteaded at Woodward, farming there until 1912.

After leaving the farm, he established businesses at  Oilton,  Shamrock and Shawnee. He came, to Oklahoma City in 1942 and opened a grocery at 2407 S Central. He sold the store in 1945.

Farha is survived by his wife, Snidia, of the home; four sons, Ralph Farha. 2345 NW 30; Fred Farha, 3013 S Walker; Chick Farha, of the home, and Woodrow Farha, 2710 NW 20; two daughters, Mrs. Stan Pate, 500 NW 22. and Sue Farha, of the home; an adopted son, Harry Knurl, Watonga. two brothers, Nema and N. S. Farha. both of Wichita, and a sister, Mrs., B. David, Wichita.
