Catherine R. Jakubs, 76, of Midwest City, passed away, Tues., Oct. 10, 2000. She
was born Feb. 16, 1924 in Kansas City, Missouri to Glen & Marie Ramsey. She
married Chester Jakubs June 3, 1943 in Meridian, Mississippi. She was a member
of Air Stream Travel Club, Redbud Garden Club of Midwest City, and Wickline
United Methodist Church. She took water aerobics at Rose State College and loved
square dancing.
Survived by her husband, Chester Jakubs, of the home in
Midwest City; 2 sons, Terry Jakubs , & wife, Pat, of Cypress, CA, & Ronald
Jakubs , & wife, Linda, of Midwest City; 4 granddaughters: Kellie Clark, Katie
Jakubs , Keli Waller and Karin Calvert; 4 great-grandchildren; and her father
Glen Ramsey all of Midwest City.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13,
2000 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, with burial at Arlington Memory
Gardens.

Chester W. Jakubs , 84, of Midwest City, passed away Friday, December 30, 2005.
Chester was born August 6, 1921 in Pittsburgh, Penn to Stanley and Adella. He
was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pearl.
He is survived by his
brother Lewis, 88 years old. Chester was married 58 years to the late Catherine
R. (Ramsey), mother of his two sons Ronald and Terry. Upon graduating from high
school he enlisted into the Army Air Corps in 1940 and served 5 years and was a
veteran of WWII. After leaving the service as a Staff SGT training flight crews
aboard B-17s, he worked for Capitol Airlines and Trans World Airlines. His job
with TWA took the Jakubs ' family to assignments in Cairo, Egypt and Madrid,
Spain. In 1951, on a trip to California the family stopped in Oklahoma City
which began his extended career with the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base. He
retired in 1977 as a jet engine procurement officer. Then, with his wife,
traveled the U.S. and Canada in their Airstream trailer. They belonged to the
Wally Byam Airstream Club and cherished their many friends everywhere.
"Chet and
Kay" are survived by two sons: Terry and Ronald, and their wives Patricia and
Linda; four grandchildren, Kellie, Katherine, Karin, and Keli, and six
grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, January 5, 2006
at the Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
