90, was born in Nevada, Missouri on August 11, 1918 andpassed
away on January 23, 2009. She graduated from high school in
Cleburne, Texas and later married Ralph James. They celebrated
sixty wonderful years of marriage. Martha was a devoted wife and
mother and an active church member, serving as youth sponsor,
women's circle leader, and deaconess. She enjoyed her bridge,
sewing and book clubs and traveling with friends, especially to
OU football games.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents Ewing and
Olive Woodward, brother George Woodward and husband Ralph James.
She is survived by her son, David James and wife Liz of
Stillwater, daughter Ann Millerborg and husband Rubin of
Piedmont, granddaughter Kelly Padgham and husband Mike of
Edmond, grandson Christopher (Kit) James of Fayetteville, NC,
grandson Jim Millerborg and wife Tiffany of Wichita, KS, and
granddaughter Mary Ann Sanders and husband Tim of Oklahoma City.
She is also survived by great grandchildren Jake Padgham, Kylie,
Brant and Ellie Millerborg, and Craig and Gracie Sanders.
The loving care given to Martha by Bellevue Health &
Rehabilitation Center was genuinely appreciated. The family will
be receiving visitors at Hahn-Cook Street & Draper Funeral Home
Tuesday, January 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral
services will be held 11a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at
Crown Heights Christian Church with interment following at
Memorial Park
Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Crown Heights Christian
Church.
