MOBLEY
Howard W. Mobley , 71 of OKC, passed away on Friday,
Aug. 4, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on June 15, 1935 in Selma, Louisiana.
Howard spent his early school days in Georgetown,
LA, graduating from Springhill High School.
He was a Viet Nam veteran
serving first in the U.S. Navy then the U.S. Air
Force when he retired from military duty and then
went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service. He
was very gifted in carpentry, woodworking and lawn
care service.
Howard was preceded in
death by daughters, Joyce Ann and Sherrill Darlene
Mobley , and parents Odus & Jessie (Griffin) Mobley
.
He is survived by his
devoted wife Kim Mobley of Oklahoma City, son
Phillip Mobley ; daughters, Nita Ballard, Betty
Poole, Sandra Redfern, and Doris Phillips all of
Grant Parish, LA; grandchildren: Jamie Mobley, Amy
Inness, Kristal Mitchell, Jennifer Mitchell, Matthew
Poole, Garrett Poole, Angela Tull, Amanda Morrison,
Kenneth Redfern, Sara Redfern, Kevin Phillips,
Joshua Phillips, Nicholaus Phillips, and Nathaniel
Phillips; great grandchildren: Kelsey Mobley , Hanna
Mobley , Ashlyn Inness, Sydney Grace Inness, Aaron
Tull, Andrew Morrison, Ely Morrison, and Carson
Redfern; brothers Andy (Gloria) Mobley of Choudrant,
LA, and Guy (Carolyn) Mobley of Thompson Station,
TN, sister Lula Mobley (M.C.) Whitworth of
Brentwood, TN, special aunt Jo Griffin Corley of
Georgetown, LA and special uncle Deloyd (Janie)
Mobley of Dry Prong, LA, and many nieces & nephews,
and cousins. Graveside services will be held 10:00
AM Tuesday, 8/8/2006 at the
Resthaven Cemetery.
