Edith Jean Walker, 69, of Midwest City passed away
Saturday, June 10, 2006. She was born Nov. 19, 1936
to Elbert and Mamie McFarland in Monteagle, Tenn.
Edith married Robert Samuel Walker on Nov. 27, 1954
in Cyril. On Aug. 1, 1972 they made Midwest City
their home after previously living in St. Louis, Mo.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a homemaker.
Edith was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy
in Midwest City and was a member of the Oklahoma
89er’s Association. She also enjoyed playing her
guitar and singing.
Edith is survived by her
husband, Bob; two sons, Jeffrey Dale Walker and
wife, Lisa of Bethany and Michael Dwayne Walker of
Del City; a daughter, Deborah Ann Barlor of Del
City; two brothers, Charles Henry McFarland and
wife, Brenda of Weatherford and Jimmy Wesley Buck
and wife, Kim of Bonham, Texas; two sisters, Frances
Buck and husband, Claud of Midwest City and Ann
Ellen Pendleton and husband, Frank of Oklahoma City;
five grandchildren, Mark Anthony Fossett II,
Christina Nichole Fossett, Michael Dwayne Walker II,
Kayla Jean Walker and Ella Josephine Walker; one
great-granddaughter, Jasmine Denise Fossett; and
numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in
death by her parents, three brothers, one sister and
a granddaughter, Ryana Dee Walker.
Funeral Services will be
held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Barnes and
Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to
follow at
Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Midwest
City.
