							Steven Lee Farley Captain 
							Steven Lee Farley was born December 18, 1950 in Ft. 
							Polk, LA to Noel and Barbara Farley. He died Tues., 
							June 24, 2008, in Sadr City, Iraq while in service 
							to his country and in the pursuit of freedom for the 
							Iraqi people. Steven graduated from Edmond High 
							School in 1969 and went on to receive his Bachelor's 
							and Master's in Business from the University of 
							Central Oklahoma. He was married to Donna Berry on 
							December 22, 1970. Steven served more than 34 years 
							in the Armed Forces. He enlisted in the US Army in 
							1970 and was stationed in Korea and was later 
							commissioned as an officer in Navy in 1980, after 
							attending Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode 
							Island where he was stationed for 4 years. During 
							his 34 years of service he received numerous medals 
							and awards. Those medals include the "Meritorious 
							Service Medal", "Navy Commendation Medal"(5th 
							award), "Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal", 
							"Joint Meritorious Unit Commendation Award", "Navy 
							"E", "Army Good Conduct", "Navy Expeditionary 
							Medal", "National Defense Service Medal" (3rd 
							award), "Armed Forces Expeditionary", "Southwest 
							Asia Service Medal", "Global War on Terrorism 
							Expeditionary Medal", "Global War on Terrorism 
							Service Medal", "Iraq Campaign Medal", "Sea Service 
							Deployment Ribbon" (3 Bronze Stars), "Navy and 
							Marine Corps Overseas Service Deployment Ribbon" (3 
							Bronze Stars), "Armed Forces Reserve Medal", "Navy 
							Rifleman" (Expert), and "Navy Pistol" (Expert). 
							Steven was mobilized shortly after September 11, 
							2001 and served with distinction on the staff of the 
							U.S Seventh Fleet in the Western Pacific. He 
							volunteered in Iraq, first joining The Surge with 
							the Department of Defense in April 2007 later 
							signing with the State Department in April of 2008. 
							Since then he has been serving on a provincial 
							reconstructive team helping citizens of Iraq to 
							rebuild and revitalize their local government which 
							took him to Sadr City. Steven is survived by his 
							wife, Donna Farley of Guthrie 3 sons: Brett and wife 
							Jessica Farley of Edmond, Christopher and wife 
							Christy Farley of OKC, and Cameron and wife 
							Jacqueline Farley of OKC and one adored 
							granddaughter, Rebekah Dyanne Farley. He is survived 
							by his parents, Noel Sr. (US Army MSGT-Retired) and 
							Barbara Farley of Crescent and 2 brothers and 2 
							sisters: David Farley (US Army MSGT-Retired) and 
							wife Bev of Guthrie, daughter Kelsey and her mother 
							Jo Farley Vickie Farley of Guthrie and her 2 
							children, Brandy and Cody Carla and David Proffitt 
							of Tulsa and their son David and Noel Farley (US 
							Army Chief Warrant Officer 3rd Class-Retired) and 
							wife Diana of Guthrie and their 2 daughters Amber 
							and Hailey. There are also other numerous nephews, 
							nieces, family and friends. Funeral services will be 
							held Wednesday, July 2nd at 9:00am at Henderson 
							Hills Baptist Church in Edmond with a burial service 
							to follow at 2:00pm at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in 
							Elgin. Any military personnel wishing to wear their 
							uniforms are asked to wear dress uniform (Navy: 
							Summer Whites). Flowers and cards can should be 
							delivered to Baggerley Funeral Home in Edmond.
