Kent Hopkins Ackerman, 55, born Dec. 6, 1947, left this earth to soar with the eagles December 29, 2002.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 32 years Judy, his children Amy Elizabeth and Kristopher (Tober) and his grandson (Damien Anton Ackerman). Also two brothers, Drew Ackerman of Edmond, Mark Ackerman of Okla. City and sister Jerry Williams of Beorne, TX. Kent was involved with many philanthropic organizations. He was past Worshipful Master of Amity Masonic Lodge #473. A member of India Shrine Temple, where he was Past Captain of the Nomads, Scottish Rite, York Rite. He was also Past Associate Guardian of Bethel #2 and Past Associate Grand Guardian of the International Order of Jobs Daughters. Kent had a way of affecting the lives of people he knew, and because of that, he will live forever in our lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the transportation fund of India Shrine Temple or Amity Masonic Lodge. Memorial Service will be held 2 pm Sun., Jan. 5, 2003 at the India Shrine Center in OKC.  Cremation Society.
