John Thomas Allen, (J.T.) was born 3 Jan
1860 at St Joe, Missouri. He was an only
child as far as we know. He is listed on the
1860 census in Missouri. He was the son of
Solomon and Emily Elly Allen.
J.T.
and Mary Rose Wheeler were married 13 March
1894 at Choctaw, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma
Territory as recorded at Oklahoma County
Courthouse, Book 2, pg 237.
Mary was born 8 August 1867 in Iowa and died
Aug 1912 at Arkansas City, Kansas.

Their children were:
George E. born 9 Oct 1961 Jones, Oklahoma
Territory and died 1961 Ramona, Oklahoma.
Clara Cora born 29 Mar 1896 Wilsey, Kansas
and married Glen Davis.
Ida
born 26 June 1898 Greyhorse, Osage County,
Oklahoma Territory and died 1978, married
Roy McAllister.
Frank Everett born 3 June 1901 Bodark,
Kansas and died 16 Nov 1971, moved to
Arizona.

died 1902 in Marshall, Texas.
Three children, possible triplets died at
birth.
Mary Rose born 15 May 1904 Perry, Noble
County, Oklahoma and died 23 Aug 1930
Arizona married McCormick. |
Solomon
Allen was born about 1831 Indiana, he was
(according to family legend) a captain in
the Illinois Union Army, during the civil
war and was killed about 1865, in service.
His wife died soon after and left son, J.T.
an orphan who was raised by soldiers.
I have been unable to find this military
information. Sol, as he was called, may have
been the son of David and Nancy Hogan Allen
who had a son, Solomon, born in 1845 Putnam
County, Indiana.
He married Emily
Jane Elly on 3 June 1853 St Joe, Bucannan
County, Missouri. She was born about 1838 in
Louisiana. |
The
Wheeler family living in the Oklahoma City
area:
Mary Rose Wheeler was the daughter of
William Jasper Wheeler, son of C.W. Wheeler.
They are listed on the Cape Girardeau,
Missouri census 1850. He was in the civil
war Confederate side and was buried in the
Confederate Cemetery in Arkansas. He married
Clara Deal who was born 1858 Iowa daughter
of Peter R and Mary A Deal.
Mattie Wheeler, a sister to Mary Rose
Wheeler, married 17 Jan 1899 Oklahoma
Territory to William Patterson.
These lines have Cherokee, Delaware and some
unknown native blood. |
