Paula Katherine (Smith) Andeel was born on January 7, 1926, to Frank and Willie Smith of McKinney, Texas. She left this earthly life and was heaven bound to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 10, 2009. In 1946 Paula married LaBebe Andeel and together they had 4 children. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1950 and were married 33 years until LaBebe's death in 1979. Paula embraced the Lebanese heritage of her husband and quickly became a welcome member of the Lebanese community. She was a long-time member of the Bonne Heure zzzzz Club and was a Baptist Hospital Volunteer for many years. She was an accomplished cook and a warm and welcoming hostess who made entertaining look easy. Paula was an active church member and walked through life with an unyielding faith that she readily shared with others. Although faced with many trials, Paula lived her life with a grace and strength that shone as an example to those who knew her. She had a close circle of loyal and supportive friends that were by her side through the last days of her life. She was a devoted grandmother to Crystin, Jeremy, James, and Aaron. She adored and prayed for them daily. Paula is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, La-Bebe, infant daughter, Barbara Ann, and her brother, Frank W. Smith, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Carol Andeel of Oklahoma City , son Richard and wife Lois of Edmond, son Paul and wife LaDonna of Mustang, and four grandchildren and one brother, Jack Smith of Dallas, Texas. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 14 at Village Baptist Church 10600 N. May Avenue, Oklahoma City . Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Oklahoma City . In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to: The Baptist Children's Home.
