Midwest City
Man's Body Found at Lake Texoma
The body of
Midwest City man was recovered from the Limestone
Creek area of Lake Texoma on Saturday, authorities
said.
Raymond J. Ary,
71, was found near the shoreline about 7.30 am the
Oklahoma Lake Patrol said.
Ary's body was
taken to Watts Funeral Home in Madill.

Ray J. Ary, 71, a long -time resident of Midwest City, passed
away at Lake Texoma. Ray was born May 15, 1921 in Muncie,
Indiana and was raised in Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army
during World War II in the ETO. During the war, he received one
Silver Service Star, one Bronze Service Star and a Purple Heart.
He also received the American Defense Service Ribbon, the EAME
Service Ribbon and a Good Conduct Medal. Following the war, Ray
entered the U.S. Air Force where he retired as a Master Sergeant
in 1962. Following his military service, he worked as a Civil
Service employee at Tinker AFB until his retirement in 1990.
Ray is survived by his wife, the former Wilda A. Sparkman of
Midwest City; his mother, Margaret H. Boney of Sayre; three
sons, Dennis E. of Thornton, Co., Raymond J. of Yukon, Richard F
. of Midwest City; and six grandchildren.
Services: Rosary 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Bill Eisenhour Southeast
Chapel. Mass 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 1992 at St. Philip
Neri Catholic Church, with burial in
Arlington Memory
Gardens. Rev. Jack Feehily will officiate.

May 31, 1994
Wilda Augusta Ary, a long-time resident of Midwest City,
passed away May 29th after a long fight with cancer. Wilda was
born August 29, 1924 in Maud, Oklahoma to Bert and Cora Sparkman
and raised in Oklahoma. She served in the WAC during World War
II. After the war, Wilda completed high school and was graduated
at Midwest City High School in 1946. She met her husband Ray J.
Ary , who was also from Oklahoma, in Cleveland, Ohio and was
married there on March 17, 1950. They made their home in Midwest
City in 1956 and raised a family. She was a long-time member of
St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her husband Ray, she is survived by her
two sons: Raymond J. of Yukon and Richard F. of Midwest City;
three sisters, Mary Jo Pitts of Midwest City, Velma Kassebohm
and Sadie Lee Brasch of Penole, CA; and one brother, John
Sparkman of Lawton. She is also survived by three grandchildren
and one great-grandchild. Services: Vigil 6:30pm Tuesday, May
31, 1994, Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, Mass 10:30am
Wednesday, June 1, 1994 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church,
burial in Arlington Memory Gardens. The family requests that in
lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society or
the American Diabetes Association.
