Mary Frances Bass
July 21, 1922 - April 12, 2015
OKLAHOMA CITY
Mary Frances Bass, 92, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed
away April 12, 2015. She was born July 21, 1922 in
Bedford, IN to John Wolfinger and Pauline (Holsapple)
Wolfinger. Mary was a Registered Nurse, graduating
from Indianapolis Methodist Hospital School of
Nursing. She married Robert E. Bass September 10,
1947 in Bedford, IN. Mary was a member of St Luke’s
United Methodist Church and attended the Wedding
Ring Sunday School Class, also a Hospice Volunteer
and Eastern Star. Mary was an avid Bridge player for
over 60 years. She is survived by a daughter, Jill
Bass; a son, The Honorable Jerry D. Bass; 3
grandchildren, April Ryan and husband Jesse, Jeremy
Williams and Andy Williams; 5 great grandchildren,
T.J. Smith, Sara Ryan, Becca Ryan, Skylarr Williams
and Kaydenn Williams; 1 greatgreat grandchild,
Deagan; and one brother, Ron Wolfinger and wife
Rita. She is preceded in death by her husband,
Robert. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and
staff at St Anthony Hospital who provided comfort
and care for our mom this past week. Funeral
services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 16, 2015,
at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. A reception
will be held immediately following the service at
the church for family and friends to gather and
visit. Mary will be laid to rest at a private family
interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
