Edward P. “Ed’’ Scheer was born January 17, 1952 in Hoisington, KS to Robert L. & Clara Berniece (Bowen) Scheer. He died June 2, 2005 in Oklahoma City, OK as the result of a motorcycle and car accident. Mr. Scheer came to Oklahoma City in 1960 from Kansas. He was employed with Great Plains Coca-Cola Bottling Company at the time of his death. Ed was a very talented person who enjoyed auto racing and mechanics. He was an accomplished musician and a jack-of-all-trades. He loved his family and his favorite time was when he was entertaining them in his home.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Scheer. Surviving family includes his wife, Karen, of the home address, son Cade Scheer of Norman, daughter, Jennifer Mitchell Bensley and husband, David, of New York, his mother, Clara Berniece Scheer Bohanan Bozarth and husband, Carl, of Eufaula, OK, brother, Larry D. Scheer and wife, Patty of Haskell, OK, sister Clarice Scheer Ashcraft and husband, Tim of McLoud, OK, step son, Matt Gomboc,  granddaughter, Katelyne Bensley, niece, Kristina Scheer and nephew Eric Scheer and other relatives. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens..
