GRANDMA BAIN DEAD
Grandma BAIN, aged 71 years, who made her home with her daughter, Mrs.
John McMINN of this place, died of heart failure, in a wagon on the road
from Wyandotte to Seneca [Missouri], last Saturday afternoon. She
was in as good health as usual, and was talking about the fine corn by
the roadside, when she suddenly dropped over in the wagon and expired without
uttering a word. Her remains were brought to this place for burial, and
interment was made in the city cemetery about noon Sunday.
Rev. JONES conducted a short service at the cemetery. The deceased was
the mother of nine living children, six being present at her funeral, including
Mrs. McMINN, Mrs. Tom GIBSON, and Sam BAIN, of this place, two sons of
Republic, Mo., and a daughter of Binger, Okla. The News extends sympathies.
