BRUSHY CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY

From McAlester, take Hwy. 69 South to Hwy. 63 Junction in Kiowa. Turn left and go approx. 7.3 miles to Blanco. Make a right turn at the intersection across from the Post Office. Go approximately 3.1 miles and turn left. There is a sign that says "Brushy Creek Baptist Church". Go about 1.5 miles and you will see the church and cemetery. (3-3N-15E) This is said to be an Indian burial ground, and there are many rocks that serve as headstones. The cemetery is still in use. This is a complete listing of all legible headstones and markers as of Sept. 26, 2004.
