LIBERTY CENTER (Stingey Ridge) Union Graded Two

On June 16, 1919, an election was held for the purpose of uniting four different one room schools into a Union Graded School. The vote for the formation of the district was forty-six votes. There were six votes cast against the consolidation. The four schools involved were District No. 15 (Red Mounds or Mount View), District No. 16 (Center Chapel, District No. 18 (Fairview, Ludlow) and District 19 (Pleasant Hill, Patton) School. At the time of formation the assessed valuation was $205,087.00 and the area was 41 square miles.
On May 3, 1923, District No. 17 (Shirley) closed and transferred to UG2 or Liberty Center (Stingey Ridge).
